About Tremont
Tremont Elementary School has served the Upper Arlington community since 1952. Today, it serves more than 700 students in kindergarten through grade five.
Tremont offers our K-5 elementary curriculum to students living within the Tremont attendance area — approximately bounded by Wickliffe, Ridgecliff and Fishinger roads on the north; North Star Road on the east; Lane Avenue on the south; and Route 33 (Riverside Drive) on the west.
Facilities Master Planning at Tremont Elementary School
In recent years, Tremont Elementary School has undergone significant renovations and new construction. Part of the first phase of the community-developed master plan for Upper Arlington’s schools, every elementary school in our district is either completely new or fully renovated and includes needed space for the district’s growing enrollment.
The Tremont project, completed for the start of the 2020-2021 school year, features:
-
A top-to-bottom renovation and full update of all building system throughout the older parts of the existing building
-
A 7,000-square-foot addition to address enrollment growth
-
A new and centralized media center
These new and modern learning spaces are supporting our students as they develop the skills necessary to serve, lead and succeed now and in their futures.
This project also provides additional space to meet the needs of our growing school district. In the event that growth exceeds projections, each project has been designed to have a logical place for a classroom addition, if needed.
